About me

My pronouns are she/her.

I have experience supporting people who have experienced anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, rape and sexual abuse, and feeling stuck. I have worked for over 20 years in a professional environment, so also have a lot of experience dealing with issues around stress, work-life balance, and career change.

I am a UKCP trainee therapist and a senior trainee in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute Bristol. This is a four-year training which brings together Buddhist and Western psychology and mindfulness to try to understand the whole person. My work is based on the belief that we all have an inner core of wellnessand wisdom that therapy can help us connect with.

As well as my private practice, I work as a volunteer counsellor at Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS).

I have specialist training in safeguarding adults and children, dealing with distressed clients, sexual violence, child sexual abuse, supporting bereavement and loss, and anti-racism.

I am a trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists. I work to their ethical codes, and meet regularly with a supervisor to discuss my work.
